Is there a handy way to get the information displayed on the Nikon 90's screen on top, on the D5100?

I'm looking at getting a DSLR. I was thinking about getting the new Nikon D5100. However, after looking at some of the higher-end ones, I noticed that they have a display screen that reads some of the things like exposure and such. Is there a way to get all of this information EASILY displayed on the D5100's screen, or does one need to step up to a higher level to have this information easily accessible and editable?
