Wifi question please help me?

okay so i am visiting germany atm and i figured out their password to their wifi and they use WLAN wireless local area network and the password i typed in was correct on my ipod touch. now im connected but i go to any app that requires internet it doesnt work but the ipod says i have full bars and am connected to WLAN. please help me i do have a computer handy.
